Our team includes:
President & Founder
Martin (Marty) Smith founded MARCO Contractors more than 30 years ago, following graduation from Penn State University. Marty believes in building a strong sense of teamwork within the company and does everything possible to make sure everyone in the company retains that outlook each and every day. The result is superior, long-lasting relationships with architectural firms, retailers and mall developers that set the industry standard.
Marketing Team

Jennifer Danquist, Director of Business Development
Jenny possesses over 10 years of marketing, business development and public relations expertise. Jenny's primary focus is on increasing Marco's market share by continually adding new relationships throughout the retail, food services, banking, education, healthcare and governmental industries. In addition she is also managing and developing Marco's current client base by providing unprecedented service through acting as the first point of contact for our clients and interacting with the specific project leaders of the Marco staff.
Ändrea VanSchepen, M.S., Marketing Associate
Ändrea graduated in 2008 with her Master's of Science degree in Counseling Psychology. While marketing may seem quite different than therapy, many of her therapeutic skills have transferred nicely into this new vocation. She is able to implement her strong communication and organizational skills while employing her professional interpersonal techniques. Her professionalism in maintaining positive rapport with businesses is exceptional. She is able to work well with others and espouses a very optimistic demeanor. Ändrea assists Jennifer Danquist in maintaining Marco’s client base, generates newsletters, attends meetings/conferences/networking events, and generates new business for a National Contractor in the restaurant and retail industry.

Project Superintendents
Our project superintendents are responsible for onsite management of our construction activities, including: Interpretation of plans and specs; creating a project schedule; permitting; maintaining a safe work environment; establishing working relationships with owners, architects and inspectors; creating and enforcing staffing requirements for sub-contractors; devising ways to make the project flow smoothly at all times; completing daily reports for sub-contractors and others; enforcing building codes; scheduling of sub-contractors & delivery of owner-supplied items; ensuring proper site clean-up; and fulfilling all specifications.
